You Are Invited to a CME Lunch Symposium

Research on pathophysiology and sensory processes has provided important insights on overactive bladder (OAB), with urgency being considered the core symptom. The precise and meaningful assessment of symptoms, however, remains a challenge. Current and emerging clinical and research measures of lower urinary tract sensation offer objective measures of urgency. In addition, subjective measures of patient-perceived symptoms may also be beneficial to assess therapeutic improvement.

This symposium will present OAB patient scenarios typical in urogynecology to explore the most recent antimuscarinic trials, focusing on strategies to measure and treat urgency as well as other OAB symptoms in an effort to improve overall outcomes and patient care.

Researchers renowned in the field of urogynecology will connect with audience members through a combination of case studies, brief didactic lectures, panel discussions, audience response technology, and a question-and-answer session to create a highly interactive program.

Please join us as we explore innovative clinical approaches to improve treatment outcomes in your patients with OAB.

Target Audience

This session is an industry-supported satellite symposium. Although not an official part of the AUGS 29th Annual Scientific Meeting, this program has been reviewed and its presentation permitted by the Society.
